Coming back!!

Now that summer is over and the fall is coming, we are coming back to our very neglected blog and shop! We both had a very busy summer. Amanda moved into a new house and to a new state. And Katie welcomed a brand new baby girl to her family. We are both just now getting back into our normal routines and schedules and ready to start crafting again :) Starting in October, we will be having Tutorial Tuesdays, Recipe Fridays, giveaways, and more!!

Puzzle Pockets

My daughter has just started playing with these kind of puzzles and the pieces are always missing. This is such a great idea to keep all the pieces together. I found this idea at U Create.

Board Book Gifts

This goes along with Katie's post a few weeks ago. Katie and I had bought these bare books. I made mine into teacher gifts for the end of the year. They went over as big hits. It was easy and fun to make. I used the 8x8 books since I had a lot of pictures.

Handmade cards

I made some thank you cards and wanted to show them off, so here are a bunch of pictures of the handmade cards that I made.

I liked this layout a lot since it was cute and fast to do!

Photo Books

I found this super cute gift to make for any occasion or to make for yourself on Crafting Chicks. Cute photo books using Bare Books. You can find Bare Books here. I made my first photo book with the 5x5 bare book. I also ordered the 8x8 and that is my next project. For the pages, I used digital scrapbooking and printed out the pages. Then I used mod podge to put the printed pages on the book. Really easy to make and cute!

Taking a break

We have to say that we really enjoy our blog, our shop, and all of our followers, but we are going to take a short break for the summer. Amanda is getting ready to move and I am getting ready to have my baby, so we decided that Crafting in Laymon's Terms is on a summer break.

Keep on checking our blog and following us, we might post some tutorials or recipes every now and then through the summer if we have some time.

Starting in September, we will posting every week with all new tutorials, ideas, recipes, and shop items :)
